THE BAROSSA COUNCIL: CANDIDATE FOR ELECTION 2022

Experienced Board member and community representative in governance, advocacy, and policy.

My background encompasses careers as a registered nurse, a legal practitioner, a 6th generation primary producer, and facilitator.

My focus areas:

  • Equitable access to rural health care, disability support, community wellbeing, youth engagement; environmental health, water security, climate change, volunteer services, tourism, transport, planning, housing, business investment and jobs growth.
  • Supporting controlled and sustainable growth whilst preserving our culture, heritage, and quality of life.
  • I appreciate Council’s role and the importance of meeting the needs of our community effectively, efficiently, now and into the future.

I am a member of Barossa Districts Health Advisory Council, Water Allocation Plan Advisory Committee, The Barossa Mental Health Project Taskforce, and The New Barossa Hospital Community Reference Group, and have previously served on the Faith Lutheran College Board.

I have voluntarily assisted in bushfire recovery and mental health initiatives, led Government and Industry Leaders’ Roundtables, and initiated community forums, to support sustainable growth for the Barossa region.

It would be a privilege to be elected to the Barossa Council and continue to support our Barossa to be a thriving, world-renown region for future generations.

Thank you for your consideration.

Voting opens October 14th until November 10th, 2022.
